Characterization of human MSCs. Specific staining for adipogenesis (lipid vacuoles are stained in red), osteogenesis (alkaline phosphatase is stained in pink-violet) and chondrogenesis (mucopolysaccharides are stained blue-bluish green). FACS analyses of human MSCs: The MSCs are positive for CD29, CD44, CD59, CD71, CD73, CD90, CD105, CD106, CD146, CD166, CD271, and HLA class I and negative for CD14, CD34, CD45, and HLA class II.
