Note that the diagonal vessel in the picture expresses both markers. C) De novo formation of blood vessels as revealed by double staining with anti-GFP and anti-CD31 (strong CD31 staining is characteristic for BECs) in combination with nuclear Dapi staining. Erythrocytes in the vessels display green/yellow background fluorescence.
