Caseins in rat rough ER microsomes are mostly dimeric. Aliquots of the aqueous phase of rat milk were diluted and centrifuged at room temperature. Milk supernatant (S), pellet (P), and an aliquot of the rough ER microsomal fraction (M), were analyzed by SDS-PAGE in reducing (R) or non-reducing (NR) conditions followed by immunoblotting using an antibody against mouse milk proteins.
