Adenoviral mediated over-expression of HIF-1alpha and HIF-1alphaDELTAODD can up-regulate the transcription of VEGF and HO-1 in HK-2 cells in normoxia. The relative mRNA levels of HIF-1alpha, HO-1 and VEGF were determined by real time PCR and normalized to the housekeeping gene β-actin. (A) Relative mRNA levels of HIF-1alpha.
