Validation of select gene expression changes by qPCR. Insulin 2 C96Y-GFP cells were treated as in Figure 2 and total RNA was prepared. Real-time PCR was used to analyze the levels of the indicated genes relative to cellular β-actin. Results are from N = 3 independent experiments. Statistical significance was assessed by ANOVA followed by Tukey post hoc test. *p < 0.05 D vs. Cont; #p < 0.05 D + i vs. D. (Cont: Control), (D: Doxycycline), (D + i: Doxycycline + 4μ8c inhibitor), (i: 4μ8c inhibitor alone).
