FGF Signaling Inhibits c- myc expression. A) Immunoblot of RIPA lysates from OPM2 cells using monoclonal anti-c-MYC antibody. Cells were treated with FGF1 (or Osteoprotegerin as negative control) for 24 or 48 hours at the indicated concentrations. Cells were harvested in RIPA lysis buffer containing protease inhibitors. B) Expression of c-myc mRNA levels. Cells were treated with FGF1 at the indicated concentrations for 3 days and c-myc mRNA levels were measured by Northern blot. Bottom panel shows ethidium bromide stained 18S ribosomal RNA.
