BDM treatment inhibits actin incorpolration in a permeabilized cell system. (A) BDM does not inhibit platelet myosinII S1 ATPase activity. (B) Spreading Swiss3T3 cells were treated with a media control, BDM, or cytochalasin D for 1 minute prior to permeabilization and incubation with rhodamine-labeled actin. BDM treatment blocks actin incorporation at the leading edge while control and cyto D treatment have no effect. Bar, 50 um.
