PSR stays in the nucleus of phagocytising cells Hydra epithelial cell expressing GFP-PSR in the nucleus. The cell has engulfed two apoptotic cells with pycnotic nuclei (red circles). Two additional apoptotic cells are still on the outside of the cell surrounded by its membrane (red circles). They are apparently in the process of being phagocytised.
