small GTPases are not required for MT stability induced by Dvl. A) Neurons expressing Dvl alone exhibit increased microtubule stability when compared to control EGFP-expressing neurons. Expression of dominant negative Rho (RhoN19), dominant negative Rac (RacN17), and dominant negative Ccd42 (Cdc42 N17) do not alter the ability of Dvl to stabilise microtubules. In addition, neurons expressing Dvl and treated with the ROCK inhibitor Y27632 exhibit comparable level of microtubule stability as untreated Dvl-expressing neurons. All neurons were treated with Nocodazole to test MT stability B) Quantification shows that coexpression of Dvl together with dominant negative Rac Rho, or Cdc42 or the ROCK inhibitor does not change the ability of Dvl to stabilise MTs.
