  1. Multiple bioinformatics programs were used to analyze the potential intracellular localization of the p49 and NDUFAB1 proteins (see details in "Methods"). The results estimate that p49 protein is primarily localized within the nucleus, and NDUFAB1 is primarily localized in the mitochondria, although both proteins have the potential to be in other intracellular compartments as well.
