Connexins 40.1, 43 and 45 are distributed in sarcolemma of human muscles biopsies from dysferlinopathy patients. Connexins 40.1, 43 and 45 (green signal) and the sarcolemma protein spectrin (red signal) were detected by immunofluorescence assay using specific antibodies in muscular biopsies obtained from a dysferlinopathy patient (dysf 25). Co-localization of a connexin with spectrin is denoted by the yellow signals. Nuclei were stained with DAPI (blue signal). Scale bar: 50 μm
