Changes in the Thioflavin T fluorescence of BSA treated with different saccharides. Thioflavin T (30 μM final concentration) was mixed with samples of BSA in different saccharide solutions for different time intervals. The fluorescence intensity of Thioflavin T was recorded (λex 450 nm; λem 485 nm). Kinetics of the increase in fluorescence emission of ThT with glycated BSA are shown.
