Time-course of changes in [Ca²⁺] _i in response to CCK-8. Fura-2 loaded pancreatic acinar cells were stimulated with 1 nM CCK-8 in the presence (A) and in the absence (B) of Ca²⁺ in the extracellular medium. On the other hand, cells were stimulated with 20 pM CCK-8 in the presence (C) and in the absence (D) of Ca²⁺ in the perfusion medium. The horizontal bars indicate the time during which CCK-8 was applied to the cells. The traces are typical of 3-5 independent experiments.
