NF-κB activation induced by exogenously added S1P is enhanced by S1P produced by the cells. Cells transfected with control siRNA or SK1 siRNA were treated with the indicated concentrations of S1P for 30 minutes and were analyzed for active NF-κB (p65) using ELISA.
