Localization of RanGAP on chic nuclear envelopes is irregular. chic²²¹ eye disc clones show only minor changes in distribution of (A) Lamin (red) and (B) Nups (red). But RanGAP localization (C, D red) is strongly altered appearing more clustered and patchy (arrows) than in wild-type cells, where RanGAP forms uniform dotted rings around nuclei (arrowheads). act up loss of function does not affect RanGAP (red) in acu^{E 636}eye disc clones (E).
